Improving quality of life through inclusive sport
A European initiative bringing together communities through golf and Pitch & Putt, promoting social inclusion, health-enhancing physical activity, and wellbeing for people with disabilities, war veterans, and vulnerable populations.
INCLUSIVE SPORT IN ACTION
Across partner countries, we are building practical pathways for participation through coaching, community events, and accessible golf experiences.
Understanding our mission and the Erasmus+ Sport context
GOLFTEGRATION is funded under the Erasmus+ Sport programme, which supports projects that promote participation in sport and physical activity, as well as the development of European dimension in sport.
Our project specifically focuses on using golf and Pitch & Putt as tools for social inclusion, targeting communities that often face barriers to sports participation, including people with disabilities, war veterans, individuals with Alzheimer's, and those with Down syndrome.
Through carefully designed activities and methodologies, we aim to demonstrate that sport can be a powerful vehicle for improving quality of life, fostering community connections, and promoting mental and physical wellbeing.
Breaking down barriers and creating opportunities for all to participate in sport.
Promoting physical and mental health through accessible outdoor activities.
Golf courses provide serene outdoor environments that benefit mental health.
Bringing together partners across Europe to share best practices and knowledge.
Our key goals for creating lasting positive change through sport
Promote equal access to sport for marginalized groups including people with disabilities, war veterans, and vulnerable communities through adapted golf and Pitch & Putt programmes.
Enhance health outcomes by providing structured physical activity opportunities that also support cognitive function and emotional wellbeing in outdoor settings.
Develop and share methodologies that make golf accessible to everyone, regardless of physical or cognitive abilities, removing traditional barriers to participation.
Strengthen collaboration between organisations across Europe, facilitating knowledge exchange and developing shared resources for inclusive sport programmes.
